Name My Newsletter Contest!

This March, I’ll start a new quarterly newsletter (you can sign up here) and while I know what will be in it, I don’t have a title for it! Normally I’m good with titles, but every now and then I draw a blank — I’ve turned to the internet a few times to ask for help with book titles (in fact, readers have titled at least one of my books, CAUGHT IN THE ACT) and now I’m drawing a blank on the newsletter banner, so I thought I would reach out to the creative brains on the internet and ask you for some ideas.

If you have an idea for a catchy, author-related, newsletter title, share below. Something short, maybe no more than four words at most. I’ll choose three of my favorites and then open a poll to vote for the final winner! The winner who ends up naming my newsletter will get a $25 Amazon Gift Certificate once the decision is made, and they will receive credit in the newsletter (hopefully they are a subscriber!) :)

If it helps, a few things that you will find in the newsletter will be author interviews, book reviews, writing tips from me and perhaps from my editors, and other things that I won’t be posting anywhere but in the newsletter — you have to subscribe to see. :) And of course, there will always be giveaways. :)   They will be released in March, June, September and December of each year.

This blog will run until I have three titles I like, and then I’ll run the poll for 3-5 days. Feel free to share more than one title in a post!

I can’t wait to hear your titles! :)

  1. Hmmm… these aren’t too bad, though the newsletter won’t be all about me (imagine!) LOL I’ll have feature articles from other authors, interviews and giveaways, etc — but I hope we’ll keep posting and thinking about it! I was thinking something like WORD but that’s too general… I have to keep thinking too!

    • Hmmm… that’s interesting, since threads refers to conversation as well as sewing, etc… Red Hot Threads? Book Threads? Maybe… though I wonder if people would take it as more of a fabric/sewing thing…. I think I would steer away from Sizzling (keeps reminding me of steak and grilling… now I’m hungry, LOL) and too much alliteration… but this is good brainstorming!

  2. The Syntax of Romance, Sam’s Syntax, It could be the use of some other grammar term other than Syntax since I assume you will be writing about writing but Syntax hunts at Blaze sort of “Syn-”. — something like Adjective + Grammar term + of Romance or to use adjective implying romance. Also needs something to mark it as romance genre.
    Or simple — Hot tips.

  3. To put in my own entry, LOL, I thought of Short Stuff this morning…. but I think I like several of yours better. Will let this go for another day or so and then put up the poll for the final winner! Sam
